Carved from a sugar pine 6 x 6,
this was one of a series of corporate awards for cost-cutting.
I went on a sketching tour of historic Michigan sites, and spent the
next winter carving many of the scenes. These two are both of the
fishtown at Leland. Others included several lighthouses and the
fort
on Mackinac Island.
