Lugthart
Family Tree
This website is devoted to the Lugthart Family worldwide. The webmaster,
Douglas W. Lugthart, is a third-generation U.S. citizen, and as far as
we know at this time, most of the Lugtharts in the U.S.A. are descended
from his grandfather, Jasper Lugthart. Thus the focus to date is
disproportionately on Lugtharts in the U.S.A. and their ancestors.
We hope other Lugtharts will find this genealogical information interesting
or useful, and will get in touch. Email Douglas
Warren Lugthart or Cornell William
Lugthart. If you'd like a link to your web page or email
address here, let us know. We'll post it by your name in the main
family tree--of course, if you're not there yet, we'll need to know where
you fit in!
S.S. Rotterdam: the boat we came on. The Rotterdam was the first
four-masted steamship in the Netherlands American Steam Company's fleet.
As you may notice in the family tree linked below,
some branches of the family are covered in detail, and others hardly at
all. We especially hope that any of you who have information that
can fill in some of the blanks will contact us.
The latest contact: Johan Lugthart has posted
a family tree at http://www.lugthart.eu
. (Click on one of the trees). I'm sure he'd appreciate any information
that would help define his family's place in the greater Lugthart family.

a growing website where you can post your name, email, website and zipcode
(for a compendium of Lugthart locations worldwide),
Using the family tree:
-
If a person on the tree has submitted an email address,
you'll see a clickable
image.
-
A
symbol indicates that the person has a website, or that someone else's
website refers to them (this may be another family's geneology site).
Clicking the symbol will take you there.
-
Where there is a
icon, it indicates there is at least one photograph or portrait of that
individual.
-
A
icon indicates that some document (obituary, newspaper article, etc.) can
be found on their page.
-
Highlighted names are links to "family pages" where
you will find details about people, photographs, and other illustrations.
-
Many pictures are reduced size to fit on a page/screen.
To view a family page photo full size (in a quality browser like Netscape,
anyway), click it with the RIGHT mouse button, and use your browser's "back"
button to return to the page.
-
Wherever you see the tree image (below) it will take
you to the family tree page.
